Staff permissions, cashier PINs and store branches
Give the team access to the work they need while keeping sensitive actions under the right control.
Store work is shared, but every worker should not automatically have the same permissions. STORAQ supports owner and worker access, cashier PINs and approval checks for sensitive actions such as supported refunds.
Branches and store context matter when a business has more than one location. Keep activity associated with the correct workspace, and review the permissions available to each role. Owner entitlements, staff access and the selected branch are different concepts.
How the workflow fits together
- Open the correct store or branch workspace.
- Set up workers and the permissions appropriate to their job.
- Use the required role and PIN checks for controlled actions.
Common questions
Can I try a restricted cashier role?
In Team & permissions, switch to Cashier. The sample counter disables discounts unless the owner has allowed them.
How does the refund example check access?
It requires the owner role, a connected receipt and the displayed sample approval PIN. A denied attempt shows the reason.
